Kota Kinabalu: Senior medical doctor, Dr Chong Eng Leong (pic), clarified that he spoke about the shortage of personal protective equipment (PPE) under the Kesihatan Awam Ranau (Ranau Public Health) and not about Ranau District Hospital.

He said this in a statement, here, Tuesday, referring to Home Minister II-cum-Ranau MP, Jonathan Yasin, who denied the allegation made by him (Dr Chong) claiming that Ranau Hospital is running out of safety suit and PPE supplies.

In an immediate response, Dr Chong said “Last Saturday (Oct 17) when I was at Likas Hospital (attending handing over by Osimal Foundation one mobile negative pressure isolation chamber to the hospital) I spoke to reporters about shortage of PPEs in clinics under the Kesihatan Awam Ranau, not about Ranau District Hospital as reported as such in an online media.
