Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Kadazandusun Murut Welfare and Education Association (Pekadin) suggested that the Federal Government review the regional housing allowance for civil servants including teachers nationwide.Its Vice President Simon Molubi
(pic) in a statement, here, Tuesday said Pekadin thinks that the review needs to be done as there are significant regional housing allowance differences enjoyed by civil servants in Sabah, Sarawak and Peninsular Malaysia.

He said the standardisation was also in line with the spirit of the 1963 Malaysia Agreement (MA63) which recognise the territorial status of Sabah and Sarawak as equivalent to Peninsular Malaysia.
