SANDAKAN: The State Government should pursue the re-establishment of the committee to discuss the administrative and operational role of Sabah on health matters.

Making the call, former Health and People’s Wellbeing minister Datuk Frankie Poon Ming Fung (pic) said under the previous Federal Government, the committee was supposedly to be jointly headed by the Federal Health Ministry’s Secretary-General and also the Sabah Health Minister.

“This discussion would have given our State Government the role to positively and actively participate in the administrative and operation of healthcare in Sabah,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.
