Kota Kinabalu: Some 72,823 food baskets from the State Government have been distributed to families in 17 districts as of Thursday, said Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Shahelmey Yahya. He said the districts are Lahad Datu, Semporna, Kunak, Tawau, Sandakan, Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Putatan, Papar, Tuaran, Kalabakan, Ranau, Tambunan, Kota Belud, Beaufort, Kuala Penyu and Kota Marudu.
On Thursday alone, he said, 4,094 food baskets were distributed in 12 districts namely Lahad Datu (440), Semporna (967), Kunak (222), Tawau (842), Sandakan (365), Penampang (59), Putatan (25), Papar (83), Tuaran (738), Ranau (107), Tambunan (20), Kuala Penyu (149) and Kota Marudu (77).
