LAHAD DATU: The Illegals Prevention Operation (OCP) which is coordinated by Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) in five districts under Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) has reduced the entry of illegal immigrants into Sabah via rat trails.

Esscom Commander, DCP Datuk Ahmad Fuad Othman said this can be seen through the decline in expulsions carried out by the OCP Sea team throughout the operation from April to September, 2020.

“If we look into the statistics released by Esscom Sea Division, on September, the Sea OCP team expelled only 215 illegal immigrants compared to 1,400 in early of April. There is indeed a reduction.
