Kota Kinabalu: The Sabah Muslim Chamber of Commerce (DPMS) is appealing to the Federal and State governments to focus on helping the people in Sabah and the Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) sector who are severely hit by the Covid-19 pandemic.Its Honorary Advisor, Mohd Ansar Bin Maidin (pic) , said they are in a difficult situation as a result of the implementation of Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) and Enhanced Movement Control Order (Emco) in the State.
DPMS also asked the government to consider allowing the people to withdraw savings account 1 in their Employment Provident Fund (EPF) on a one-off basis to help ease the burden on those in desperate need.
