Keningau Division Umno Women’s Movement Head, Hajah Salbiah Suhaideh, hoped the Budget 2021 can further extend the moratorium scheme to those who cannot generate income during the Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO).
“This is for those who are self-employed and unable to generate income during CMCO,” she said while representing Umno Keningau Division to hand over aid to the frontliners at the quarantine centre in Kampung Baginda.
Salbiah also applied for consideration of kiosk rental payments to traders at the Food Court at Bataras Mall here.ADVERTISEMENT
Meanwhile, a farmer from the Sook area, Albert G Modingal, hoped the Government will not overlook the needs of farmers and smallholders, especially those in rubber plantations.
He said they face many challenges like pests, unpredictable weather, drought or prolonged rain, among others.
