Public react to perceived bias
‘Bossku’ Najib wearing mask complying with SOP (in white attire) obliged journalists taking a group selfie.
Kota Kinabalu: Many social media users were surprised recently when the Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA), a member of the ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) government, criticised some Federal Cabinet Ministers who were blamed over the surge in Covid-19 cases after the 16th Sabah election on Sept 26.

“If the public is  fined RM1,000 just for slightly pulling down their mask for a moment, yet ministers are getting away with it for obviously flouting the SOP, are we not ashamed when we make bold claims of ‘no double standards’? If Abah (Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin) wants to ‘rotan’ the wrongdoers, start with those on top, and those at the bottom will follow willingly,” said its spokesman, Mike Chong.
