SEMPORNA: Some 300 families in Pulau Omadal received food baskets during a distribution programme coordinated by the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom), Thursday.

Esscom, in a statement, said the recipients included 133 families living on land and another 167 living in ‘pondohan’ (stilt house water settlement).

“The distribution was conducted from house-to-house by representatives from the District Office, assisted by Rela and Malaysian Civil Defence Force personnel,” it said, Thursday.
