RANAU: A 15-year-old madrasah (Islamic religious school) student was killed on the spot after being thrown out of the vehicle he was driving, before being hit by an oncoming vehicle, Thursday afternoon.
Ranau Police Chief DSP Sammy Newton said the incident happened at 3.30pm at Km 2 of the Ranau- Tambunan Road, in front of the Kiaburi township area.

He said the victim, who was with a passenger in a Perodua Axia car, was from Kg Pasir Putih and heading to their home in Kg Kilimu Ranau before he lost control and crashed into a hill on the other side of the road.
