Kota Kinabalu: The Government’s overall RM31.9 billion allocation channelled towards the Health Ministry is inadequate, said Alliance for Safe Community Chairman Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye (pic).He said this is because the ministry bears a myriad of responsibilities which is not limited to the Covid-19 pandemic alone, but includes other public health concerns such as the rise of mental health issues in the country.
“The unprecedented Covid-19 pandemic has once again proven that it is not only essential for the Government to provide adequate allocation to fight the third wave of the contagion but what is even more important is for the Health Ministry to focus on public health.
