Kota Kinabalu: Indian Muslim restaurant operators in Sabah fear they may have to close for good if no help is forthcoming from the Government.Being mostly tenants of the premises and affected badly by the Covid-19 pandemic, they are hoping for special funds or grants to ease their burden in paying operational costs, especially monthly rentals.
Sabah Muslim Indian Chamber of Business and Industry (DPPIMS) Chairman Abdul Kadir bin Faruk said income was affected by the pandemic virus since March, as customers are only allowed to buy “take away” food and drinks from their restaurants.
