Kota Kinabalu: Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) President Datuk Tan Kok Liang (pic) backs the call by Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (Apec) to safely open borders for travel.“That’s exactly what is to be done,” he said on reports that Apec member countries need to recover economically by “reopening borders for safe travel, quarantine is not the answer, but speedy testing to control Covid-19 is.”
This was resolved by an inaugural virtual tourism forum together with the Asia-Pacific Economic Co-operation (Apec) Tourism Working Group and the National Centre for Apec, themed “Travel Re-imagined”, recently.
