10,000 Sabah tourism job losses seen
Liaw
Kota Kinabalu: The Nation Budget 2021 has left out the tourism sector, according to Sabah Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Satta) Chairman Dato  Seri Winston Liaw. It fears that more tourism players like travel agents, tourist resorts, and hotels including restaurants will eventually  close shop and with it more job losses.

Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz left out the tourism industry in his Budget 2021, he said.

Reacting to the budget announced Friday, Winston said:

“We are the most suffered and most impacted industry with zero income for 11 months so far.”
