Kota Kinabalu: Special Functions Minister cum Membakut Assemblyman Datuk Mohd Arifin Mohd Arif (pic) welcomed the presentation of Budget 2021 which upholds Islamic teachings.

 He said the allocation of RM1.4 billion for the management and development of Islamic affairs under the Prime Minister’s Department reflects the government’s determination to strengthen religious institutions, especially involving education.

 “The increase in takmir teacher allowance and special one-off payment of RM500 for religious and Fardu Ain (Kafa) teachers as well as imams and bilal, is an appreciation for this group that plays a very important role in upholding Islamic teachings in the state.
