Kuala Lumpur: The government has decided to extend the Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) in Taman Mesra, Sandakan, Sabah for another 14 days from tomorrow (Nov 11) until Nov 24.

Previously, the government has announced the implementation of EMCO in the housing estate from Oct 28 until today (Nov 10).

Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the extension was made following the advice from the Ministry of Health (MOH).

'’The MOH has carried out 1,124 screenings and 134 positive cumulative cases have been recorded in the area.

"Of the total, 43 cases have fully recovered and and there are still 91 active COVID-19 cases in the area," he told a press conference here today.
