Caution urged when at sea due to Vamco
Kota Kinabalu: The Maritime Rescue Sub Center (MRSC) here advised coastal dwellers to be vigilant due to Tropical Storm Vamco in Vietnam which can cause strong winds and rough seas from Nov 10 to 13.

Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) Sabah and Labuan Director, First Admiral Mohd Rosli Abdullah, said the Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a warning that Vamco is located about 120km northeast of Nha Trang, Vietnam.

 He said the maximum speed of the storm is 65 km/h and 929km northwest of Kudat which is causing strong winds, rough seas and waves measuring 2.5 - 3.5 metres high.
