Kota Kinabalu: The 2021 national budget proposals seem to fall short in addressing the economically crippling problems of Covid-19, recession and the periods after each MCO as well as reviving the economy, said the Federation of Sabah Industries (FSI). Its Economic Advisor Datuk Dr Pang Teck Wai (pic) noted many in Sabah would benefit from the relief programmes such as the RM1,000 for traders, taxi drivers, tour guides and expansion in allocation for essential goods covering 34 new areas.
However, the services sector where jobs are concentrated throughout the nation was given little attention.
