Water misery happening too long: Limus
Kota Kinabalu: The State Water Department needs to implement a more effective mechanism to provide better service to the rakyat. State Assistant Works Minister Datuk Limus Jury (pic) said the issue of treated water supply is still prevalent throughout the State despite changes of the ruling government and leadership in the department itself.

“Allocation after allocation has been channelled by the government since long ago, but there is still no solution to these longstanding woes,” he said, after chairing a meeting with the State Works Ministry on the Limbawang Water Treatment Plant Upgrade Project and Rural Water Supply Project ( BALB) Menumbok, Kuala Penyu Sabah.

Also present were the Works Ministry’s Permanent Secretary Mohd Jasmin Gulpin, Deputy Permanent Secretary Helena Masry, Principal Assistant Secretary Dayang Rosnah Awang Jafar and representatives of the project consultants.
