Kota Kinabalu: JCI Tanjung Aru’s RedSaver project raised more than RM60,000 internationally during the Covid-19 outbreak. This was accomplished through collaboration with more than 90 partners, donating 19,700 face shields and 1,000 sets of food, 9,000 pieces of face masks and benefited more than 30,000 people around Sabah.Starting from September 2020, with the rising cases in Lahad Datu and Tawau, JCI Tanjung Aru’s RedSaver project raised a total of RM 8,400 from the public, and with the help of JCI Merotai, distributed 2,005 face shields and 60 boxes of face masks to Tawau and Semporna hospitals as well as Tawau Police Station.
RedSaver project also raised another RM 23,000 from the public to donate 610 sets of PPE suits to the three major hospitals in Kota Kinabalu and the Sabah Health Department, said JCI Tanjung Aru President, Kimberly Guah.
