Heavy toll on businesses

Kota Kinabalu: The 8-month old coronavirus pandemic has taken heavy toll on the Sabah economy and nation. Hence, the decision not to impose the Movement Control Order (MCO) statewide is appropriate and laudable.

“We welcome the collective wise decision by the Ministry of Health, National Security Council, and Sabah Covid-19 Disaster Management Committee not to implement the MCO throughout Sabah,” KKCCCI President Datuk Michael Lui said.

He said a MCO would have worsened the present bad situation of the business community caused by the life-threatening virus.
