SANDAKAN: A teacher from a school here took part in Hospital Duchess of Kent Sandakan’s blood donation campaign at Sejati Walk, here, on Deepavali.Sylvester Brian Jaib, 33, from Bahau, Negeri Sembilan and teaching at SK St Monica, Sandakan, said he chose the Deepavali to donate blood because he wanted to light up somebody’s life and help replenish the blood bank supply.
He started donating blood since he was 18 at the Latihan Khidmat Negara, and to date, has donated over 20 times. He hoped others will be inspired to donate as well.
