Food baskets for 65 Kinabatangan families

SANDAKAN: KM Serasan ship and Banggi 43 boats of Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Maritim Malaysia) provided services to bring food baskets donated by Sandakan Maritime Zone residents for 65 families in Kg Kulamba and Kg Tundun Bohangin in Kinabatangan recently.

Sandakan Maritime Zone Director, Captain Zainudin Mohd Zuki said the distance from the two villages to Sandakan town is about 45 nautical miles which takes about two hours journey and that it could only be reached by water transport.

The waters from Pulau Berhala up to Kinabatangan is under the responsibility of Sandakan Maritime Zone.
