Kota Kinabalu: The cancellation of the Sukma Games in Johor next year is a blessing in disguise for the Sabah Squash Sukma team as it gives them more time to prepare a much stronger squad.

The biennial sporting event which had earlier been set for April next year following its first postponement from the original date in July this year has been pushed back further to a new date in 2022 due to the Covid-19 pandemic in the country.

Sabah Squash Association President Datuk Charles O Pang said on Tuesday that they fully supported the decision which was announced by Federal Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican last Monday.
