Kota Kinabalu: The cancellation of the Johor Sukma Games next year has been met with mixed feelings by the State artistic gymnasts, according to Sukma girls coach Liew Tong Ee on Wednesday.
He said with the new guidelines having yet to be decided for athletes competing in 2022, some of the present squad members’ spirit is slightly down as they are unsure of their status by then.

“The mood in the squad at the moment is rather down for some of the athletes following the cancellation. As a coach, although I’m sad as well, but at the same time, the new date also lets us feel assured and relieved because we no longer have to rush in our training programme, and will have more time to prepare.
