putr: The effectiveness of the MySejahtera mobile application has been proven when 9,167 COVID-19 positive cases were detected through the application since it was launched on April 20, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the application had helped the ministry to identify COVID-19 positive cases through self-assessment and close contact tracing.
“As of yesterday, a total of 1,561 cases were detected and confirmed to be COVID-19 positive through self-assessment.
“For the same period, a total of 7,606 positive cases were detected through close contact tracing via MySejahtera,” he said in a press statement on COVID-19 development here today.
Dr Noor Hisham added that since its launch, the app had received an overwhelming response from all levels of society, with 23,953,970 registered users and dependents as well as 1,058,853 registered business premises.
