SANDAKAN: Electricity supply to several areas in town was interrupted for about half-an-hour from 6.05pm Wednesday after an eagle hit a 33kV high voltage power transmission line.

Investigation by Sabah Electricity Sdn Bhd (SESB) showed that the power interruption was caused by an eagle who hit the high voltage transmission line as its carcass was found underneath the transmission tower.
