Kota Kinabalu: Some 3,030 babies and children in Sabah under the age of 12 have been infected by the coronavirus to date, said Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic).

 “From this number, 1,241 children are below the age of five, whereas 191 are below the age of one,” he said, during a virtual press conference, here, Friday.  Based on reports by the State Health Department as of Friday (Nov. 20), Masidi said the statistic accounts for 12.15 per cent of overall Covid-19 infections in Sabah.

 Masidi also said 4,496 Covid-19 test samples have yet to be processed in Sabah.
