KK Puspakom closed after employee tests positive for Covid-19

Kota Kinabalu: The Kota Kinabalu branch of Puspakom Sdn Bhd (Puspakom) has been temporarily closed after one of its staff tested positive for COVID-19.
Puspakom in a statement today said the closure would take effect from today until a date to be announced later.

It said the staff member has been admitted to hospital for treatment while other employees would undergo COVID-19 screening and close contact tracing was underway.
“Those who were in direct contact with the affected staff have also been ordered to undergo 14-day quarantine.
“The temporary closure is also to make way for cleaning and disinfection works at the premises,” said the statement.

Puspakom said it would seek advice from the Road Transport Department regarding permit renewal for commercial vehicles during the closure of the Kota Kinabalu branch.
