Kota Kinabalu: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)-led State Government is urged to consider implementing the shelved multi-billion ringgit Tanjung Aru Eco Development (TAED) project as a means of reviving the State’s economy.Former Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Deputy President Datuk Dr Hiew King Cheu said it is vital for the State Government to re-look this mega project to reboot Sabah’s slackened economy and, in turn, the socio-economy and livelihood of the people in the light of recent job losses and income due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
He said the design and development features in TAED could provide about 3,000 jobs to locals which is timely now in the wake of the pandemic.
