Kota Kinabalu: Delay in seeking treatment, complications due to other illnesses and dying before getting access to treatment have been identified as the factors behind Sabah being the State with the most Covid-19 deaths in Malaysia.

State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Masidi Manjun (pic), who is the official Covid-19 spokesman, said as of Nov. 23, Sabah accounted for 195 or 58 per cent of Malaysia’s 337 Covid-19 deaths with other states making up the remaining 142.

It was earlier reported that the hike in cases was due to holding the State election on Sept. 24.
