SANDAKAN: Three occupants of a house located behind the Karamunting Flat were trapped when a tree fell and hit the house they lived in early Monday morning.

District Fire and Rescue Department Chief Jimmy Lagung said they received an emergency call at 3.51am and deployed his personnel to the location.

“Upon arrival at 4.01am, the team rescued the victims who could not get out because the fallen tree had hit the front door of the house

The trio were reported safe and did not suffer any injuries.
