16 regencies prone to Covid-19 protocol violations
There are 3,100 National Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) tasked in the regencies.
JAKARTA: Indonesian National Police General Idham Azis said there are 16 of the country’s regencies that are categorized as “extremely prone” to Covid-19 health protocol violations in the 2020 Pilkada regional elections.

During the virtual national evaluation meeting on the Pilkada, the national police chief said there are nine provinces based on the national prones index that are deemed less prone to health protocol violations, despite not detailing which provinces he referred to.

At the city level, out of 37 cities there are three considered prone which include Sibolga City in North Sumatera, Banten’s Tangerang City, and Ternate City in Maluku.

“There are 224 at the regency level with 35 categorised as prone, 16 categorized as very prone in terms of health protocol,” said the national police chief on November 23.

The 16 regencies include South Nias Regency, Agam, Waropen, Fakfak, Gunung Kidul, Nabire, North Buton a, Asmat, Tojo Una Una, Yalimo, Serdang Bedagai, Southwest Maluku, South Buru, West Manggarai, Ogan Ilir and Lembramo Raya.

There will be 3,100 National Police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) tasked in the aforementioned regencies to prevent any Covid-19 health protocol violations taking place.
