Kota Kinabalu: Sabah Welfare and Community Development Association (PKPMS) urged the Government to widen its policy on elimination of violence against women through all existing mediums.Its Deputy Chairperson, Artini Ali Taugan, said violence against women and girls has become a prolonged and widespread global problem involving millions of victims while adding that violence against women also happened frequently in Malaysia.
She said cases of violence against women particularly domestic violence has been rising for the past few years and it became worse after the implementation of Movement Control Order (MCO).
