Covid-19: Sandakan Puspakom to be temporarily closed after staffer tests positive

SANDAKAN: Sandakan Puspakom Sdn Bhd (Puspakom) will be closed beginning Monday until a date to be announced later after one of its staff tested positive for Covid-19.
Puspakom, in a statement, Saturday, said the employee is now being treated at a hospital while screenings of other workers and close contacts were being conducted.

“Those who were in direct contact with the patient have been ordered to undergo 14-day quarantine,” it said.
Puspakom said it would seek advice from the Road Transport Department regarding permit renewal relaxation for vehicles with inspection deadlines during the period of closure.

“For customers with appointments at Sandakan Puspakom, all inspection payments made will be refunded automatically. Any latest information will be conveyed to customers from time to time,” said Puspakom.
Kota Kinabalu Puspakom had resumed operations yesterday after being closed for a week due to the pandemic.
