Kota Kinabalu: The Government needs to enact laws so that vacancies in any sector in Sabah are offered to locals or natives in Sabah first and only then to outsiders as well as foreigners.

State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said this is in line with the wishes and aspirations of the people in Sabah who want priority given to the locals or natives first before employing others, including contracts.

Doing so, he said, could reduce dependence on hiring foreign workforce in many sectors in the State.
