Kota Kinabalu: State Local Government and Housing Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) said Sabah cannot afford to forever shut the economy as it is a very important part of the system. “Prevention is better than cure, and the only way to prevent (Covid-19) is by total compliance with all the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and that is exactly what we are hoping all citizens will do irrespective of whether we have relaxed the rules,” he said during his Covid-19 briefing, Monday.

  Masidi, who is the State’s official Covid-19 spokesperson, said: “So many people have lost their jobs, so many people have lost their money, and some people depend entirely on the government to survive.
