Kota Kinabalu: The State Government should formulate a new more pro-active policy in providing instant road and electricity infrastructure into  Orang Asal so they can plant or carry out economic projects like rural tourism, said social and political activist Kanul Gindol (pic).

Kanul said the current policy of not providing roads, water and electricity fast enough into areas the natives intend to develop has hindered community efforts to develop their agricultural lands.

“A new government policy on this particular issue will ensure prompt and pro-active actions by the relevant authorities like JKR, Water Department, SESB and Agriculture Department as well as District Offices and the relevant political appointees in the district concerned.
