Death – after sentence
Hadirun is being carried on a stretcher by medical  personnel from the courtroom to the ambulance.
Kota Kinabalu: A 42-year-old Indonesian man who was elated at being sentenced to six months for taking Syabu collapsed and died in the cell in the Magistrate’s Court shortly after the sentencing.

Hadirun Lagili pleaded guilty to taking syabu in Penampang on Aug. 9 this year and Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie ordered him to serve the term from the date of arrest and to be referred to the Immigration Department thereafter for deportation.

According to the police escort, Hadirun was elated over the verdict while in the cell, saying he was going to be free soon before he fainted.
