Kota Kinabalu: Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (Matta) president Datuk Tan Kok Liang (pic) called on the federal government to set a strategic roadmap for the recovery of tourism over the next five years, as the 12th Malaysia Plan is to be rolled out from 2021.

“It will not be business as usual. Structural changes need to be made in the way the government promotes tourism and changes in legislation are crucial for tourism to make a comeback,” Tan stressed for Matta’s input for the formulation of the 12th Malaysia Plan with a strategic roadmap for recovery.
