Jail for taking drug repeatedly

SANDAKAN: A 64-year-old man, who has three conviction record of taking syabu, was on Thursday, sentenced to five years’ jail for taking the drugs the fourth time.

Yew Ah Wah pleaded guilty before Sessions Court Judge Indra Ayub to consuming the drugs at 3.30am on June 9, 2018 here.

He was charged under Section 39C(1)(b) of the Dangerous Drugs Act (DDA) 1952.

The court ordered him to be placed under police supervision for two years thereafter.
