Kota Kinabalu: In conjunction with International Human Rights Day on Dec 10, the Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Cluster on Freedom of Expression (FOE) comprising 12 non governmental organisations (NGOs) held a press conference to release their report on the Human Rights Trend 2020 and to launch a Legal Defence Fund.The FOE Cluster called on the Government to halt the harassment and intimidation of its critics and others exercising their right to freedom of expression and to commit to protecting and promoting fundamental human rights.
In a statement, the activists said freedom of expression and access to information is especially important as Malaysia responds to the Covid-19 pandemic.
