Kota Kinabalu: The Rotary Club of Tanjung Aru (RCTA) distributed 200 packages of food to various communities in a humanitarian mission over the past weeks.Its President Nancy Chia said their primary concern is the underprivileged who are not able to get their daily supplies due to the current circumstances.
“Many have suffered silently ever since the Movement Control Order (MCO) was imposed in March this year,” she said.
She said the food packages (worth RM100 each) were distributed at various places on different occasions such as Care Haven, Likas, an orphanage home; Single Mother Home in Sepanggar; Sabah Society for the Blind in Tuaran; KK Widows Welfare Association; B40 category and special needs in Keningau district; as well as families having senior citizens and special needs members who fall under the target groups.
