Kota Kinabalu: Sabah men’s hockey team is set to feature several ex-Malaysian internationals as they make their debut in the 2021 Malaysian Hockey League, scheduled to start early next year.Assistant coach Hasrul Jideh when contacted on Tuesday, said they have identified eight players with five former internationals from the Peninsula to strengthen the team.
According to him, their presence will help to overcome the absence of Adrian Andy Albert, Shello Silverius and Abdul Khaliq Hamirin, as the three locals will play for other teams instead.
“Unfortunately, we will not have the services of Adrian Andy Albert, Shello Silverius and Abdul Khaliq Hamirin in our team as they will play for their respective clubs in the competition.
