Kuala Lumpur: A warning of heavy rain over the next two days has been issued for several states.

In a statement, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said downpours are forecast for Kelantan, Terengganu and the districts of Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin in Pahang from today until Dec 19.

Mersing and Kota Tinggi districts in Johor are also expected to experience similar weather up to tomorrow, it said.

MetMalaysia said heavy rain is also expected tomorrow and on Saturday in Lahad Datu, Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan in Sabah.
