19pc daily KK water loss

Kota Kinabalu: Daily water production around here alone is experiencing loss of about 19 per cent or three to five million litres (MLD) per day, said Works Assistant Minister Datuk Limus Jury.

He said this unnecessary water loss would affect supply to consumers and industry players along the West Coast, particularly.

 He said many factors contribute to frequent occurrence of water supply disruptions, among them being the irresponsible attitude of some people who make illegal connections.

 The other loss arises from leakages along the route through Non Revenue Water.
