Easing financial burden of small-time Penampang vendors
Poinsettia is a popular plant during Christmas and Gongul has a limited supply of this greenery.
PENAMPANG: Villages in the district are fortunate to receive financial help from the Ministry of Finance, Sabah (MOF) for erecting stalls for the small business vendors selling local products such as plants, vegetables, eatery shops and others in their respective villages.

The financial assistance helped these villagers to combat with their struggle in their day-to-day livelihood by selling their produce in the “one-stop-centre”, hence easing the burden and need not have to come down to Donggongon township for the trading activity.

Among areas picked to receive the financial assistance were Kg Madsiang, Kg Tindai, Sugud, Kg Notorus, Kg Nampasan and Kg Maang.

At Kg Maang, the stall called “Gerai Sabar Menanti” which was officially launched by Member of Parliament p174 Penampang cum Assemblyman for N26 Moyog, Datuk Darrel Leiking had been fully utilised by small-time vendors in the vicinity.
