Kota Kinabalu: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) State Government has proposed a RM4.3 billion budget for 2021 with a surplus of RM178.7 million – the seventh consecutive surplus budget for Sabah since 2015.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said State revenue collection for next year is expected to see an increase of seven per cent compared to this year’s estimates.

Themed “People’s Prosperity, Sustainable Economy”, Hajiji said the surplus budget shows that the financial position of the State Government remains stable.

“State Government revenue is estimated at RM4.48b in 2021,” he said when tabling the 2021 State Budget at the State Legislative Assembly, Friday.
