Kota Kinabalu: The State Government has agreed to reopen the tourism and cultural sectors in accordance to certain requirements effective Dec. 19 (today), according to State Local Government and Housing Minister, Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic). “The decision came as previously announced in Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) areas,” said Masidi who is also the State’s official Covid-19 spokesperson, Friday.
The relaxation is for Meeting, Incentive Travel, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) which includes corporate meetings, incentives, conventions/conferences, exhibitions, craft carnivals, and travel fairs/marts.
Also in the list is tourism products which includes zoos, farms, extreme/adventure/ nature parks, recreational parks and aquariums.
