Kota Kinabalu: Guests are only allowed to stay a maximum of two hours during house visits on Christmas day.
Sabah Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said hosts need to monitor the time limit and ensure Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), including wearing of face masks and physical distancing are adhered to.
"Shaking hands, hugging and chatting outside the premises are prohibited," he said in a statement.
As for churches, the Sabah government had agreed to allow prayer sessions on Dec 24 and 25 albeit with strict SOP implementation.
A health screening counter will be opened to check for potential Covid-19 symptoms among church committee members and congregants.
There will also be a QR code on display to facilitate MySejahtera check-ins.
The churches can only allow a 50 per cent maximum capacity per session.
Masidi said each session should be limited within 90 minutes with an interval of 45 minutes for sanitisation purposes before the next session.
Sabah recorded 199 Covid-19 cases today with two new clusters identified in Kalabakan and Kota Kinabalu.
The Brumas cluster in Kalabakan has six cases that were traced via close contacts at the Brumas camp, while Keris Residence here has 38 new cases.
